Rob Kardashian, media shy sibling of the Kardashian sisters, was apparently not informed that his stepparent Caitlyn Jenner would be debuting her new look on the cover of Vanity Fair until after the fact. When Rob’s sister Kim sent him a photo of the cover, he replied, “Who is this woman?”

Kim said her brother’s reaction “was so funny because all the girls knew that Caitlyn was shooting this (the cover), but my brother had no idea. So, I sent it in a mass text to everyone. My brother saw it and said, “Kim, why are you sending me this? Who is this woman? And why do I care?” And I was like, “Rob, that’s Bruce! That’s Caitlyn!”

Rob responded, “Oh my god, she’s beautiful!” According to Kim, “He called her (Caitlyn), and they had a lovefest. It was so cute. But the moment was so funny.”

The always outspoken former San Antonio Spurs star Dennis Rodman said Bruce Jenner would have had his “ass handed to him” if he came out as a transgender woman back in the ’90s.

Rodman says he’s extremely proud of the way people are accepting Caitlyn, and believes society has come a long way in just a few short decades. He specifically remembers spending hours trying to talk Sports Illustrated into letting him pose on the cover in women’s clothing back in 1995. Unfortunately for Rodman, it was a no-go.

With Jenner is breaking down some huge barriers for the LGBT community Rodman says, “A lot of athletes will come out now and say they’re gay. Watch.”

He also has a personal message for the 65-year-old, “If you wanna go on a date with me, brotha, let me know.”

A petition posted on Change.org is urging the International Olympic Committee to take back the gold medal Caitlyn Jenner won in the 1976 Games. Jenner, now 65, won the medal in the decathlon at the 1976 Montreal Olympics.

The petition, which now has over 9000 signatures, claims that Jenner’s victory was “in violation” of “committee rules.” Supporters on social media believe that Jenner “cheated” her way to the gold.

The petition, allegedly written by a Texan woman named Jennifer Bradford, says:

It has recently come to light that gold medalist Bruce Jenner is in fact transgender, and, therefore, identifies as a woman. We congratulate Ms. Jenner on these new developments and wish her the best. However, this creates somewhat of a problem as Ms. Jenner (as talented as she is) claims that she has always believed herself to be truly female, and, therefore, was in violation of committee rules regarding women competing in men’s sports and vice versa. Therefore, it is with a heavy heart that we must ask whether or not it is proper that Ms. Jenner should retain her Olympic records in light of this, as we must now either claim that Bruce Jenner and Caitlyn Jenner are two entirely different people (which we know is not true), or that Bruce Jenner was, in fact, a woman participating in a men’s event. It is only fair to all involved that women receive their credit as champions of the Decathalon and that the men racing Ms. Jenner are not expected to compete with a superior, streamlined being such as herself.

We urge Ms. Jenner to support the transgender community by giving up the medals earned by competing against the wrong gender.

Thank you and congratulations to Ms. Jenner for her courage!

#givebackthegold

The petition has caused outrage on social media and sparked the hashtag #dontgivebackthegold. Some suggest, however, that it is a hoax perpetuated by trolls on 4chan.

Daily Show host Jon Stewart is impressed with Jenner’s “brave” transition — but not necessarily with the media coverage surrounding it.

“It’s really heartening to see that everyone is willing to not only accept Caitlyn Jenner as a woman, but to waste no time in treating her like a woman,” Stewart joked, before launching a montage of news anchors analyzing Jenner’s hotness.

“You see, Caitlyn when you were a man we could talk about your athleticism, your business acumen,” he said. “Now you’re a woman, and your looks are the only thing we care about.”

Caitlyn Jenner will make her first ever public appearance when she’s honored with the prestigious Arthur Ashe Courage Award at the ESPY Awards in July 2015. However, not all agree she should be a recipient. Reaction to the announcement has been mixed on social media.

Twitter users suggested that a better honoree would have been college basketball player Lauren Hill, 19, who battled a brain tumor her freshman year at Mount St. Joseph University before she died.

Also prominent among candidates on Twitter is Noah Galloway, who lost most of his left arm and leg as a soldier in Iraq, then went on to become a distance runner, personal trainer, motivational speaker and, recently, a third-place finisher on Dancing With the Stars.

Despite the outcry, the sports network’s press release announcing that Jenner would receive the award makes no mention of any other nominees.

The award is being given to Jenner for “(showing) the courage to embrace a truth that had been hidden for years, and to embark on a journey that may not only give comfort to those facing similar circumstances, but can also help to educate people on the challenges that the transgender community faces.”

The pastor who defended Josh Duggar comes out against Caitlyn Jenner

Ronnie Floyd, the Duggar family pastor who heads the Pinnacle Cross Church in Arkansas, said Jenner was a sinner and should no longer be considered an American hero. But just hours after the scathing statement, he told People magazine that Josh Duggar, who is accused of molesting at least five underage girls when he was a teenager, can be forgiven for his wrongdoing. Yikes!

Josh, the eldest of 19 Duggar children featured on TLC’s 19 Kids & Counting, resigned his position as a lobbyist for the Family Research Council after it was revealed that he admitted to fondling at least five underage girls as a teenager. He also confessed to molesting his 5-year-old sister when he was 15 years old.

Floyd said of Duggar’s confession: “Everyone does wrong, and what was wrong was very wrong as to what was testified to and it’s completely unacceptable. But I’m thankful, whether it’s him or any other one, that I serve a God who can forgive everything.”

Jenner, however, doesn’t fare so well in Floyd’s eyes. In a recent sermon, he called her transition “sad” and said “let me tell you what else is sad: the comments from the American culture. Comments like, ‘Once a champion, always a champion.’ Comments like ‘An American hero once again.'”

“Did God make him this way? Absolutely not,” he said. Floyd then urged his congregants to raise their children to be the gender in which God created them, saying: “Gender is not fluid. God made you male or female. There’s no fluidity to that.”

The food giant that issued a strange response to the coming out of Caitlyn Jenner

Though Bruce Jenner appeared as a cover star for the “Breakfast of Champions” back in the ’70s, will we see Caitlyn Jenner on a Wheaties box anytime soon?

General Mills, the makers of Wheaties, had an unusual response to Bruce Jenner’s transition to Caitlyn.

“Bruce Jenner continues to be a respected member of Team Wheaties,” a GM spokesperson told celebrity news website, TMZ.

When the TMZ reporter pointed out that Caitlyn is using her female name now and offered the spokesperson an easy out for the first statement, the company doubled down on its misgendering: “We stand by our statement.”

When asked for clarification, General Mills’s brand media relations manager Mike Siemienas backpedaled a bit: “Bruce Jenner has been a respected member of Team Wheaties, and Caitlyn Jenner will continue to be. We always appreciate hearing from our consumers, but of course we do not discuss our future marketing plans.”

Judging by his insensitive remarks, one TV news anchor who is decidedly not on board with Caitlyn Jenner’s gender transition is Fox News host Neil Cavuto.

“Bruce Jenner is now Caitlyn Jenner,” Cavuto said on Fox Business while showing the newly-released Vanity Fair cover. He then posed a rhetorical question to reporter Dagen McDowell: “What the hell is going on?!”

For her part, McDowell at first did her best to defend Jenner from Cavuto’s joking inquiries. However, she still continued to use male pronouns to describe the post-transition reality star and suggested Caitlyn Jenner was trying to one-up step-daughter Kim Kardashian, who announced she was pregnant over the weekend. She also called Jenner’s cover outfit “very Playboy bunny-esque.”

Cavuto got in one final dig before moving on to another topic: “Rome, final days. But that’s fine.”

The internet has exploded with a number of politically incorrect memes after Caitlyn Jenner was unveiled on the cover of Vanity Fair magazine.

The 65-year-old ex-Olympian showed off her female appearance in a photo shoot by Annie Leibowitz, which caused something of a stir online.

Some Twitter and Instagram users claim Caitlyn looks even more glamorous than ex-wife Kris Jenner with her bombshell new look, while others insinuate that Caitlyn had upstaged step-daughter Kim Kardashian just hours after the 34-year-old reality star announced she was expecting her second child with rapper husband, Kanye West.
