And the leadership itself said that as part of Yandex, the trade division took decisions too slowly, and so the team will have responsibility and focus on the result.
Then Yandex.Market began to rebuild its work model. If earlier the aggregator took a commission for switching to the sites of other stores, now – only for the purchase they made (2% of the amount). In January 2017, there were rumors that Sberbank is thinking about creating a joint company with Chinese AliExpress – to "become one of the world's largest e-commerce sites." In May, Yandex launched beta testing of its voice assistant "Alisa" (whose name even looks like "Alex" from Amazon ).
